What is BioTE® pellet therapy?

Thomas Family Health & Wellness offers BioTE® bio-identical hormone replacement therapy in the form of subcutaneous (situated or lying under the skin) pellets. We offer two kinds of pellets: both estradiol (estrogen based) pellets and testosterone pellets. These pellets are inserted into the hip area during an in-office visit after testing has been done to determine the exact quantity of the hormone each patient requires. Every dose is custom created based on your tests to ensure you have the exact number of hormones needed over time.

Why should I have BioTE® pellet therapy?

Your hormones are one of the most important regulatory systems in your body. Your hormones act as messengers to target cells and organs and provoke change or results as needed. As we age, our hormone production changes, and a hormonal imbalance can occur. Unbalanced hormones can have a variety of side effects and symptoms. Through medical testing, we can determine if BioTE® pellet therapy can benefit you and customize your therapy solution.

Many women will experience a hormone imbalance and not even realize it. Symptoms can range from subtle to debilitating and are often masked by medications that are prescribed for anxiety, depression, insomnia, weight gain, and more. Having your hormones checked regularly will reveal whether your hormones are optimized.

Hormone imbalance in men presents a little differently.   Men may see weight gain, brain fog, decrease in sexual performance, inability to maintain muscle mass to name a few.  A simple in-office blood test can help determine if BioTE® pellet therapy can help.
